These roles are full-time opportunities (35-40 hours per week) and require in-person instruction only. Low-incidence Special Education licensure is essential and must be presented prior to client submission. Your expertise will help develop customized interventions and ensure every student receives a supportive, individualized experience.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Current, valid Low-Incidence Special Education teaching license (must be on hand for application)
- Demonstrated experience working with students exhibiting significant disabilities
- Flexibility and compassionate approach to teaching
- Ability to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment
- Willingness and availability to work onsite; virtual instruction is not an option
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of ~10 students (elementary or secondary, based on placement)
- Deliver specialized, individualized instruction and adaptive curriculum supports
- Conduct IEP meetings and ongoing progress monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain open lines of communication with families
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and best practices for low-incidence populations
