Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Current Kansas State Teaching License with a relevant endorsement
- Experience conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Strong background supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs
- Previous roles as a school-based behavior specialist, BCBA, or similar preferred
- Additional licensure in school psychology, social work, or school counseling is a plus
- Proficient in research-based, data-driven intervention strategies
- Excellent collaboration skills, working with school teams, staff, and families
What You'll Do:
- Serve as an itinerant Behavioral Specialist across multiple districts with a diverse K-12 caseload
- Implement FBAs, develop and track BIPs, and drive student-focused interventions
- Provide individualized behavior coaching and training to staff and educators
- Assist with crisis intervention and develop strategies to address challenging behaviors
- Gather, analyze, and report behavioral data to inform and adjust intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and parents to build supportive educational environments
- Promote professional development on behavioral best practices for school staff
