This contract position is located in a vibrant high school setting and follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7am to 3pm. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Special Education teaching license (AZ SPED)
- Current ELA certification (English Language Arts)
- IVP Fingerprint clearance card required
- Experience or interest in working with high school students in a resource room environment
- Passion for individualized instruction and inclusive education
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized instructional plans for students receiving special education services
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with ELA curriculum, modifying materials and methods as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with IEP goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and personal growth
