Special Education Teacher | Arlington Heights, Illinois

What you’ll bring:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and current teaching licensure
- At least one year of demonstrated experience in a special education setting, preferably with middle school students
- Deep understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
- Ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Strong communication, empathy, and classroom management skills
Your key responsibilities:
- Deliver resource room instruction, accommodations, and modifications for 6th grade students
- Write and implement effective IEPs, tracking student goals and progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student development
- Participate in faculty meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation
