Qualifications:
- Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with proper endorsements required
- Prior experience with high school special education students preferred
- Strong commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Teach three inclusion classes and two resource classes
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 students
- Write IEPs, complete progress monitoring, and maintain all required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings
- Utilize two daily preparation periods and enjoy a duty-free lunch
- Collaborate with a departmental Case Manager while managing your own caseload
