Qualifications & Experience:
- Current teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Demonstrated knowledge of IEP processes, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Experience with diverse learning styles and the ability to adapt instructional approaches
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Previous experience working with students who have a range of special needs (preferred)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Assess students’ strengths, challenges, and progress, providing regular updates
- Modify curriculum and provide differentiated instruction based on student needs
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support student success
- Maintain organized records, documentation, and compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment that encourages growth and engagement
- Participate in professional development as needed and contribute to team meetings
