Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State SPED license & ESA certificate (verification required)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in special education, preferably in school settings
- Demonstrated commitment to transition-aged students (18-22)
- Strong ability to thrive independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Preparedness for possible BIE adjudication process and prompt availability for credentialing
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for ages 18-22 in a transition classroom
- Develop and implement IEPs focused on life skills, independence, and community integration
- Collaborate with families, local agencies, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
