Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching English language arts
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and students
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly in special education, is highly valued
- Adaptability and creativity in using differentiated instruction methods
Principal Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized and group English instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success
- Communicate regularly with families and staff to support student growth
- Maintain instructional records, progress notes, and reports according to school and district guidelines
- Participate actively in professional development and team meetings
