Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working in special education settings, especially with early learners
- Understanding of Life Skills curriculum and individualized instruction
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff and families
- Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to meet varied learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to students in a K-2 Life Skills classroom
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with team guidance
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other team members
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to families
- Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and special events
