Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois LBS1 certification
- Experience supporting elementary-age students (kindergarten through 4th grade) preferred
- Strong background in special education, specifically communication disorders
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a classroom of approximately 10 students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and effective learning environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, families, and support staff
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
