Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for Illinois schools
- Experience with self-contained, cross-categorical, life skills, or early childhood special education settings preferred
- Strong ability to develop and implement IEPs and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and compassion in working with diverse student populations
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students’ individual educational plans
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
- Assess student progress and modify instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and effective communication with parents and related service staff
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with general education teachers and support personnel
Choose from a variety of schedule options, including:
- Intermediate school student hours: 9:05 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
- Primary school kindergarten and early childhood sessions, with morning and afternoon schedule variations
