We are seeking compassionate Special Education Teachers to work with 4th through 6th graders in a dedicated ESN setting. This full-time contract role is ideal for passionate educators who excel at providing specialized support to students with moderate to severe needs.
The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. With four positions open, there's an opportunity to collaborate with other talented professionals who are equally committed to student success.
Qualifications:
- Active California credential in Moderate to Severe or ESN (Education Specialist Instruction Credential) is required
- Must provide a screenshot of your current authorization via the CTC portal
- Proven experience in special education, preferably with upper elementary students
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Deep commitment to inclusive, student-focused education
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to the needs of students in a 4th–6th grade ESN classroom
- Employ a range of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques
- Monitor student progress, assess needs, and regularly communicate with families and staff
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for every student
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members and support staff
