Set in a collaborative, alternative learning setting near Boston, you'll work in classrooms that always have two teachers present, offering robust support for both educators and students.
You’ll be serving students referred from surrounding districts, focusing on ELA instruction with a high school caseload. Your unique perspective, whether from a general education or special education background, is valued here—though prior special education teaching experience will provide a strong foundation for success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid general education or special education teaching certification (SPED experience preferred)
- Experience supporting students with moderate behavioral needs
- Ability to collaborate within a team-oriented, co-taught classroom
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Comfort with adapting instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging ELA lessons tailored to high school students
- Implement IEP goals and accommodations in collaboration with your teaching partner
- Foster a structured, supportive environment for students with behavioral challenges
- Track student progress and maintain open communication with families and colleagues
