Special Education Teacher | Brattleboro, Vermont

There are two openings for this urgent need, with an immediate start and potential to extend into the next school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education instruction to elementary students, adjusting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring all goals and accommodations are addressed effectively.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in data collection, progress monitoring, and regular reporting on student growth.
- Attend after-school meetings as required, with ample notice provided for scheduling.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to special education services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
- Experience working with elementary-age students in a special education setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
