Qualifications:
- Hold an active New Jersey special education teaching license
- Experience teaching at the elementary, middle, or high school level (preferred, not required)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Organizational skills to manage student records, IEPs, and curriculum planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Adapt general education lessons and assignments to support varied abilities
- Deliver tailored instruction in individual, small group, and classroom settings
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and communicate updates to key stakeholders
- Engage collaboratively with other educators, service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team discussions regarding student needs and strategies
