You’ll work Monday through Friday, putting in between 32.5 to 37.5 hours weekly, providing dedicated support to students who need it most.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
- Experience with early elementary students, particularly 1st and 2nd grade, is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for engaging students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to support academic and social growth
- Develop and implement IEPs in coordination with parents, specialists, and school team members
- Track student progress, assess needs, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and district requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively provided
- Participate in faculty meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
