Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid CT Special Education endorsement (065 or 165) required
- Previous experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
- Proven abilities in developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive school environment
- Resource classroom or similar experience a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for a middle school resource caseload
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Track and document student achievements and areas for growth
- Adapt curriculum materials to accommodate individual learning differences
- Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed
