Two passionate educators are needed for this full-time position, contracted from July 1st through June 11th. With a manageable caseload of just 10 students each, you’ll provide individualized support and work collaboratively to foster student growth and achievement in an inclusive, welcoming environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification or eligibility for certification
- Proven experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
- Ability to design and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and intervention for students in grades 7 and 8 in accordance with their IEPs
- Employ a range of teaching techniques to address diverse learning styles and behavioral needs
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and professional development sessions
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom culture where every student is valued and supported
