Two full-time contract positions are open for EC Resource Teachers at the elementary level (K-4), offering the chance to make a lasting impact on students’ educational journeys. The assignment begins on August 24, 2026, and involves working directly with elementary students receiving special education services in a resource setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active North Carolina EC General Education K-12 certification
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in elementary grades
- Proficient with the ECATS IEP system for progress monitoring and documentation
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom for diverse learners
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction, both individually and to small groups of K-4 students onsite
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs using the ECATS system to ensure appropriate student progress
- Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families to support each child’s goals
- Maintain accurate case management, records, and timely compliance with state/federal requirements
- Foster a positive, accommodating, and respectful learning environment
- Engage in regular IEP meetings, team planning, and communication with all stakeholders
