This position involves working with a manageable caseload of 7 middle school students, all of whom benefit from Instructional Assistant (IA) support, so you can focus on creating meaningful academic growth for each learner.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification/license for North Carolina (or eligibility).
- Experience working with 6th-8th grade students preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage and individualize instruction for a small caseload.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students (grades 6-8) in a supportive setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with IA, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes.
- Facilitate academic and social-emotional growth tailored to student needs.
- Utilize designated planning periods (up to 40 hours/week) for preparation and team engagement.
