Elementary 3rd Grade Special Education Teacher - Burlington, Wisconsin

Make a difference in the lives of third-grade students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant elementary school setting near Burlington, WI. This full-time, contract position runs from August 24 to May 28 and provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to foster academic and social success for all students.
In this rewarding role, you’ll work with a third-grade age group, engaging students through a mix of pull-out and push-in services according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Support from paraprofessionals is provided based on student-specific needs, allowing you to deliver personalized, targeted instruction.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for elementary school level
- Experience with third-grade or similar aged students preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and support teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with both pull-out and push-in teaching models is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, and implement IEPs to address student needs and goals
- Provide engaging instruction in both pull-out and push-in settings within the regular school day (8 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with general educators and paraprofessionals to create inclusive learning environments
- Communicate student progress to families and participate in IEP meetings
