Multiple contract positions are available for the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting essential programs across age groups.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, individualized instruction to students identified with developmental cognitive disabilities
- Design and implement effective lesson plans that accommodate students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and family members to ensure comprehensive support and learning
- Adapt and modify the curriculum to meet unique student learning styles and needs
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate, timely records and participate in IEP meetings
- Uphold confidentiality and professional standards in all student matters
Requirements:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Experience working within special education settings at any school age level
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse caseloads
- Commitment to on-site instruction (remote/virtual instruction is not an option)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to start August 17, 2026 and work through May 28, 2027, 35 hours per week
- Willingness to provide required documentation (resume, license verification, supervisor reference)
