Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (Tier 3 or 4 licensure required)
- Experience working with students in special programs, ideally across diverse age groups
- Familiarity with resource and RISE educational models, especially in middle school settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Capacity to adapt instruction and interventions to meet the individual needs of students
Position Details:
- Contract assignment, August 24, 2026 – May 28, 2027
- 35 hours per week; strictly on-site (remote or virtual work not available)
- Eight positions available, including three at a local middle school (two resource roles and one in the RISE program)
- Serve students with a range of developmental and cognitive disabilities, working within supportive multi-disciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address learning objectives
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies to foster student development
- Participate in IEP meetings, communicate progress with families, and document outcomes
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, record-keeping, and professional standards
