In this position, you’ll serve elementary students (grades 3-4) with developmental disabilities in a small group setting of fewer than 8 students per class. Benefit from a 1:3 support ratio with teaching assistants and receive thorough training throughout the school year. With just one school assigned and steady hours (37.5 per week) following the school-year calendar, you’ll find balance, community, and stability.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Current valid Special Education license in RI (MA license also considered)
  • Mild-moderate or severe SPED licensure
  • Experience or a passion for working with elementary-aged students (grades 3-4) with developmental disabilities
  • Willingness to participate in comprehensive training and professional development

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and classroom support for a small caseload
  • Collaborate closely with TAs in a highly supported, low student-to-adult ratio setting
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional learning opportunities
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment promoting growth and inclusion
