Required qualifications:
- Master’s level in Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, or School Psychology with appropriate Oregon TSPC licensure or Board Certification (SLPs).
- Alternatively, BCBA certification with extensive autism-focused training and at least three years’ experience working with students on the spectrum.
- Minimum three years’ experience supporting students with autism across the full continuum — from high-functioning in general education to non-speaking students in self-contained classrooms.
- Deep understanding of autism assessment, as well as designing and guiding interventions and individualized plans for diverse student needs.
- Experience gathering data and collaborating with school teams to complete autism evaluations.
- Familiarity with public education and special education settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services for students with autism, supporting staff and families in developing strategies for classroom success.
- Conduct comprehensive autism evaluations to inform individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators to implement evidence-based practices.
- Contribute to professional development initiatives and support staff learning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
