Key Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities and a variety of eligibilities
- Familiarity with at-risk, limited English proficient, and exceptional students’ needs
- Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local special services guidelines
- Proven track record developing and implementing IEPs and related documentation
- E.E.E.I. training (or willingness to participate in staff development)
- Prepared to work onsite in a dynamic and supportive school environment
Position Responsibilities:
- Teach and lead self-contained special education classes within behavior and autism support
- Foster positive social and self-regulation skills in students
- Develop, document, and implement individualized educational and behavioral plans
- Collaborate with families, staff, and other professionals to meet student needs
- Remain current on best practices and compliance requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development as required
