Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia teaching license in Special Education: General Curriculum (PreK–12), Adapted Curriculum (PreK–12), or Early Childhood Special Education (Birth–Age 5)
- Previous experience working with ECSE or elementary-aged students preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Adaptability and commitment to student-centered instruction
Primary Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Design lessons tailored to student needs, promoting academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff
- Document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and positive classroom environment
You’ll follow a traditional school calendar, starting August 24th and concluding June 4th, with a consistent 37.5-hour workweek at a single school.
