School Assignment: 1 school per teacher
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
Support students with disabilities including autism, behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families
Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with IDEA and Virginia DOE requirements
Foster an inclusive and structured classroom environment
Required Licensure
Candidates must hold one of the following Virginia teaching licenses:
Special Education: General Curriculum (PreK–12)
Special Education: Adapted Curriculum (PreK–12)
Early Childhood Special Education (Birth–Age 5)
