Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Endorsement or strong background in Science instruction
- Previous classroom experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to adapt instruction for a variety of learning styles
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in accordance with IEPs and curriculum standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Assess student growth regularly and adjust instruction to meet unique academic and behavioral goals
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence
- Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and communications as required
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and school events as needed
