Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Science at the middle or high school level.
- Strong background in designing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
- Ability to engage students with diverse learning needs, adapting instruction as needed.
- Excellent communication skills for partnering effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
- Previous experience in similar contract or school-based settings highly valued.
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated Science instruction aligned with curriculum standards and IEP objectives.
- Develop, update, and maintain IEPs, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom setting where students feel motivated to participate.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support professionals to adapt lessons and assessments.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust plans to support continuous growth.
