Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Strong background in special education, with experience supporting diverse learning needs
- Prior experience facilitating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, including coordination, documentation, and goal development
- In-depth knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with educators, parents, and related service providers
- Detail-oriented approach to case management and scheduling
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and composure in a busy junior high setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate ARD meetings in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation for each case
- Collaborate with teachers, administrative staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and ensure consistent support throughout the year
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for best practices and regulatory requirements in special education
