- Commitment to inclusive education and fostering a positive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach a self-contained third-grade special education class, utilizing general education curriculum materials
- Manage a caseload of 10 students, tailoring instruction to meet individual academic, social, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings and team planning
- Create a classroom atmosphere that supports student engagement, confidence, and growth
- Assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed for optimal outcomes
- Collaborate closely with classroom assistants, therapists, and other school team members
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines
