Special Day Class Special Education Teacher in Corning, CA
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to support an elementary-age population in Corning, California. The district is looking to open a new Special Day Class (SDC) with a small, supportive caseload and multiple teaching assistants.
Work Schedule
Full-time
35–37.5 hours per week
ASAP – June 3, 2027

Qualifications
Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential required
Previous school-based special education experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and provide specially designed instruction
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to elementary-age students in an SDC setting
Develop and implement instruction aligned with IEP goals and student needs
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with teaching assistants, general education staff, related-service providers, families, and administration
Create a structured and supportive classroom environment
