Make a difference supporting K-12 students as a Behavioral Specialist for the upcoming academic year. In this rewarding, contract-based role, you’ll travel between multiple districts, working onsite to deliver much-needed behavioral and social-emotional support to students. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required
- Active Kansas State Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement
- Preferred: License in school psychology, social work, or school counseling
- Background in special education, school-based behavioral support, or roles such as BCBA highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Skilled in supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work with parents, staff, and district teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve an itinerant K-12 caseload across several districts from August 19, 2026 to May 20, 2027
- Conduct FBAs, develop and implement data-driven BIPs, and support student success through research-based interventions
- Provide behavior coaching and training to teachers and support staff
- Assist with crisis intervention and the development of proactive behavior plans
- Collaborate with parents, instructional teams, and related service personnel
- Model and share effective strategies for promoting positive student behavior and developing social-emotional skills
