Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state
- Experience co-teaching or working collaboratively with general education teachers
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Proven ability to adapt instruction and classroom management to meet diverse student needs
- Effective communication with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Co-teach in inclusive classroom settings for grades 3-4 at the primary level and 7-8 at the middle school
- Design and implement differentiated lessons to address student strengths and areas of need
- Develop and maintain IEPs, document progress, and participate in meetings with parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Advocate for students while aligning with school and state guidelines
- Employ data-driven practices to continually refine instructional approaches
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and faculty
