Special Education Teacher - Danbury, North Carolina

Two roles are available: one serving a General Curriculum classroom and the other an Adaptive Curriculum classroom. You’ll inspire and guide middle-grade learners, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility)
- Experience in middle school settings preferred
- Background supporting either general or adaptive curriculum students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Create engaging classroom activities that promote academic and social-emotional growth
- Collect and report on student progress using established protocols
- Partner with parents, counselors, related service providers, and administration
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal special education regulations
