Special Education Teacher - Deerfield, Illinois

You'll connect with a caseload of only 6–8 students, kindergarten through 12th grade, creating a meaningful and attainable impact each day. This position features a full Monday–Friday schedule (32 hours per week), beginning as soon as possible through early June, with a possible extension for summer session.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid State License and active LBS1 Special Education (SPED) certification
- Experience or passion for working with K–12 learners in specialized settings
- Enthusiasm for both 1:1 instruction and engaging small groups (up to 4 students)
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff and families
- Ability to foster trust, growth, and emotional well-being in a therapeutic classroom environment
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver personalized educational plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct instruction utilizing both 1:1 interaction and small group teaching dynamics
- Collaborate closely with other educators, families, and specialized support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student success
- Monitor progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed to maximize growth
- Uphold a safe and respectful environment for learners of all backgrounds and abilities
