As a Special Education Teacher for a 3rd-grade classroom, you’ll work in both pull-out and push-in settings, gaining exposure to varied instructional models and collaborating with experienced colleagues. Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid Wisconsin teaching license for Special Education
- Experience with elementary/3rd-grade students preferred
- Familiarity with both pull-out and push-in classroom models
- Comfort working with and guiding paraprofessionals based on IEP needs
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and group instruction to 3rd-grade students in both push-in and pull-out settings
- Implement and modify curriculum to meet IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Work 8 hours per school day, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, from August 24th through May 28th
