With a start date as soon as possible and a contract through May 2026, you’ll provide crucial instruction and guidance to students requiring specialized support, all while working regular school-day hours: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Qualifications and Endorsements:
- Current certification in Mathematics (EX)
- At least one special education endorsement: Autism (SV), Cognitive Impairment (SA), Emotional Impairment (SE), or Learning Disabilities (SM)
- Experience or strong interest in middle school special education settings
- Adaptability to address a range of behavioral needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a team-based, collaborative environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for a diverse caseload of middle school students
- Utilize effective instructional strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Effectively manage classrooms with varying behaviors, building positive student relationships
- Track and document student progress, collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary staff
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and achievement
