Special Education Teacher in Easton, MD

Work full-time, five days per week, closely partnering with general education teachers to deliver both push-in and pull-out services within the co-teaching model.
In this role, you’ll manage a caseload of approximately 10–15 students with diverse abilities, including those with other health impairments, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments. Most services are provided within general education classrooms, promoting inclusive practices and a strong sense of belonging for every learner.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Special Education License required
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting highly valued
- Skilled collaborator, able to partner effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver targeted instruction and academic support through both push-in and pull-out services
- Collaborate with general education staff to adapt curriculum and instruction
- Monitor student progress, collecting and maintaining accurate documentation
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth within an inclusive framework
