Special Education Teacher - Easton, Pennsylvania

Multiple contract opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers skilled in fostering academic and personal growth. Positions include Autistic Support at the elementary level, Learning Support for middle school, and Learning Support for high school. These roles offer the chance to work collaboratively with school staff while addressing individual student goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate required by the start date
- The district can sponsor emergency permits if needed
- Prior experience with special education populations, particularly in autistic support and learning support environments, is strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to cultivating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and lessons to meet each student’s unique needs
- Monitor student progress and regularly communicate with families
- Partner with colleagues to design and coordinate effective interventions
- Maintain required documentation and uphold compliance standards
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
Contract runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek. Daily hours vary by assignment (elementary: 8:15am–3:45pm, middle: 7:15am–2:45pm, high school: 7:13am–2:43pm).
