What you bring:
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential in one of the following: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Special Education. Academic & Behavioral Strategist License also considered.
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavior plans, effective classroom structures, and established routines.
- Strong instructional background with the flexibility to adapt curriculum to diverse learning needs.
- Ability to collaborate productively with SpEd and general education colleagues, as well as paraprofessionals.
- Excellent attendance record and reliability in professional settings.
- Passion for supporting students in self-contained classrooms, including those with significant behavioral or developmental needs.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction, implementing robust behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor IEPs and behavior intervention plans.
- Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Adapt instructional materials to meet varied academic and behavioral goals.
- Mentor and coordinate effectively with paraprofessionals and classroom aides.
