With two openings for professionals holding an LBS 1 endorsement, both experienced and newer educators are welcomed. Licensed applicants who possess a Professional Educator License (PEL) are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will bring:
- A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
- LBS 1 endorsement, ready for immediate start
- Experience or a passion for working with K-12 students requiring special education services
- The ability to engage diverse learners through virtual or onsite modalities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow educators
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a range of learning needs
- Adapting instructional methods and materials to meet varied student abilities and learning styles
- Working closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining required documentation, and participating in team meetings
- Creating a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment, whether online or onsite
