Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably in special education
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to implement differentiated instructional strategies
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ individual learning needs
- Write, update, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school specialists
- Track and report on student progress, making adjustments as needed
- Foster a supportive classroom environment where all learners feel valued
- Engage families and caregivers, providing updates and coordinating supportive strategies
