ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support a school district in Elmwood Park, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students receiving special education services while working closely with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to promote student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support for students receiving special education services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
