Special Education Teacher - Enoree, SC
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students with special needs during the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you’ll provide focused instruction to a 3rd through 5th grade caseload of 11 students, all of whom have significant needs and do not participate in standard assessments. You’ll have the support of three instructional assistants in the classroom, ensuring every child receives individualized attention and a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license in a special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children with significant needs is preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability within a collaborative team setting
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ unique learning needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with instructional assistants to provide comprehensive support in the classroom
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as needed
- Partner with families and staff to foster a supportive, inclusive environment
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
