Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Special Education Teachers in the Eudora, KS area! We are seeking passionate professionals to support students at both elementary and secondary levels with a range of needs—positions include both resource and specialized (self-contained) teaching roles. This is a contract opportunity, offering steady hours throughout the school year at a single site. Four full-time roles are available, making this a great chance to work alongside a supportive team of fellow SPED educators.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification in Kansas required
- Experience in either resource or self-contained (specialized) classrooms preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and needs (elementary & secondary)
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
- Capability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and positive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate, timely records of student progress and program compliance
- Use specialized teaching strategies to meet student goals and promote independence
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and IEP team meetings as required
