We have immediate contract opportunities for skilled educators to work in closely-collaborative, supportive settings. You’ll play an essential role in fostering empowerment and growth for students who require comprehensive support within their academic journey.
Your expertise will be put to impactful use at two elementary campuses, with the potential for an additional middle school caseload. Assignments include self-contained classrooms: two positions in a behavior-focused unit and one in an emotional disabilities unit, all serving students with severe needs. This role provides a meaningful opportunity for teachers ready to work with challenging and rewarding cases.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education for Texas (or ability to obtain)
- Proven classroom experience supporting both Special Education and General Education learners
- Familiarity with severe behavior and emotional disabilities, particularly in elementary settings
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and tracking progress
- Timely completion of required credentialing documents, including fingerprint clearance and drug screening
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to students in self-contained settings
- Design and adapt curriculum to address behavioral and emotional needs
- Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)
- Maintain detailed progress notes and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and support providers
Position Highlights:
