Special Education Teacher - Evans, GA
Make an impact as an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teacher, providing specialized instruction and support to students for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. This contract role offers the opportunity to support either middle or elementary caseloads, helping students thrive in an inclusive school community. You’ll work onsite, collaborating closely with staff, supporting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Georgia Special Education licensure or certification (proof required with application)
- Prior experience in a K-12 special education setting, with emphasis on ASD support strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skill in classroom management and collaborating with general education colleagues
- Ability to support IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Commitment to a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week)
- Reliable onsite presence at assigned school(s)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, adapting to unique learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting on student progress
- Foster strong classroom management while using evidence-based practices and strategies
- Communicate regularly with families and educational teams to support student growth
