Special Education Teacher - Evans, GA
Make a difference in the upcoming school year by supporting students in specialized settings! This full-time contract opportunity is for experienced Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) teachers interested in working onsite with middle and elementary students for the 2026/2027 academic year. The position spans 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, delivering instruction in a supportive school community.
You'll provide targeted instruction, collaborate with general education staff, support IEP implementation, and ensure a well-managed, positive classroom environment. Candidates must be able to adapt to various student needs and document progress with accuracy.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Georgia Special Education licensure/certification (verification required at application)
- Previous experience in school-based special education environments is highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated skills in classroom management and documentation
- Full-time, onsite availability for the 2026/2027 school year
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instructional support for ASD students in both middle and elementary grades
- Collaborate with educators and staff to adapt curriculum and meet IEP goals
